I’m passionate about helping take your fitness business to the next level.

Meet Bill

Bill Burnett has spent more than 30 years building, managing, and growing successful businesses in the fitness industry.

As a personal trainer, Bill built a thriving personal training practice, solo managing 40 to 60 appointments per week. Following that success, he became General Manager of Gold's Gym Charlottesville, where he helped grow membership from 600 to more than 2,000 members while increasing monthly revenue from under $10,000 to over $100,000.

Forging his own path in 2005, Bill founded Success Studio Ivy, a personal training studio built around systems, relationships, and exceptional client service. In 2020, he opened a second location, Success Studio North. Through years of growth, economic downturns, staffing challenges, industry changes, and the day-to-day realities of business ownership, Bill learned firsthand what it takes to build a business that lasts.

In addition to owning and operating successful businesses, Bill teaches entrepreneurship through the Community Investment Collaborative (CIC), mentoring aspiring and established business owners on leadership, systems, marketing, and growth. His passion for teaching has allowed him to help entrepreneurs avoid common pitfalls and develop the skills needed to build sustainable businesses.

Today, Success Studio serves as proof of the principles Bill teaches. After nearly two decades of ownership, Bill successfully transitioned out of the day-to-day operation of his studios, allowing his leadership team to manage the business while he focuses on mentoring entrepreneurs, fitness professionals, and studio owners.

Bill's passion is helping business owners avoid costly mistakes, build strong systems, create winning cultures, improve retention, and develop businesses that don't depend on them for every decision. His mission is to help entrepreneurs create organizations that are profitable, sustainable, and capable of thriving without the owner being involved in every aspect of the operation.

His approach isn't based on theory. It's based on decades of real-world experience, lessons learned the hard way, and a commitment to helping others shorten the path to success.

Because at the end of the day, Bill believes great businesses aren't built by working harder. They're built by creating systems, developing people, and building something that can thrive without you.
